One Year

It would be impossible for me to go on posting and act like Michael Jackson’s passing had no effect on me. I have two copies of Thriller on vinyl resting on the shelf 24 inches to my left and there is no telling how many times Jackson’s records have been the soundtrack to moments of mine or your lives. In highschool I drove a car that had no CD player. I’ve never owned an iPod in my life so I literally bought cassettes to play while I drove around town. For about two months the only cassette I had was Thriller thanks to my boy Skawa and to this day, listening to P.Y.T. changes my entire day.

Jackson created music that is nothing short of timeless. If you Watched all of the footage being played on TV after he passed and it really forced you to realize the effect this man had on people’s lives. People literally broke down into tears watching him perform at his 30th Anniversary concert and there is no doubt that the same would have happened if he was able to do his return concerts he had planned in London. Truly a great loss, but even more importantly an amazing life to be celebrated and remembered. Rest in Peace Michael Jackson. I cant believe it's been a year.
